Effective disease surveillance is the cornerstone of early detection, monitoring, and response to emerging health threats. To strengthen Surveillance-Alert-Response-Systems, GLC4HSR first conducted a systematic review of existing surveillance-assessment approaches, identifying best practices and gaps. We then convened a Special Interest Group (SIG), holding two SIG meetings and a peer-to-peer learning session, to translate evidence into action. Drawing on those discussions, we are in the process of developing a Blueprint for Strengthening Surveillance Systems, which was discussed through a multi-stakeholder roundtable. This iterative process ensures our approach to integrated, real-time surveillance is both evidence-based and tailored to country contexts.
